What I did in Miami on Vacation

4 days 3 nights nights in Miami! Sounds like pure bliss right? It was great and  I’m already thinking, PLEASE TAKE ME BACK TO THE BEACH!

I researched a lot of vacation packages online and in the spur of the moment settled on an American Airlines Vacation package right off the website! Super quick and easy to book my flight and hotel package. Because I have so much flexibility with my job now, I really felt like I had the opportunity to travel mid week instead of only the weekend so  I took full advantage. I never realized the real good deals were mid week.

Where’d I stay?

I stayed at the Cadillac Hotel and Beach Club.

I chose this hotel for 5 reasons:

1- it’s a part of the Marriott Autograph Collection, so I can get all the points.

2- The location was perfect. Not far from the airport and nearby all the hot spots.

3- The beach is right behind the hotel, so it’s an easy walk to the water. Here’s my favorite part. When you’re a guest at the hotel, you get 2 complimentary beach chairs if you decide to venture out to the beach every day.

4- The hotel has a giant pool for adults and children. There’s also an adults only pool with cabanas nearby, and a jacuzzi!.

5- There’s a full restaurant on site that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.  But wait for it… at lunch time, they only serve lunch on the back patio near the pool! The views are amazing.

So what did I do while I was there? Little to nothing and it was great!

I literally lounged around on the beach the entire time. Every single morning I would sit on the balcony and just look out how pretty the scenery was from my room.

Monday

When I landed, I just wanted something quick, so I went to the Tavern. They stay open late and have lots of options, so that was a win since my flight landed a little late. Amazingly enough, the mussels were pretty good and who doesn’t love a little meat and cheese board?

Tuesday

I had lunch on the patio at the hotel restaurant Donna Mare and had some amazing oysters and a crab salad.

That night, I checked out the Baia Beach Club in the Mondrian Hotel. Talk about all the views! I sat on patio and watched all the yachts come in at sunset. Can you tell i love seafood? Miami is the perfect place for it and it was super fresh.

Wednesday

It rained a lot but I didn’t let that stop the party! I just sat at the covered bar on the patio and and drank coconut cocktails! Guess what else I tried? Lobster pizza!

For dinner, I was were really excited to check out Mila Restaurant and Rooftop Lounge. This restaurant looked like Miami and Los Angeles had a baby. Thee is literally a pond in the middle of the restaruant. The fire dancer performance sold me! Of course I had more seafood for dinner!

Thursday

Right when it was time to come home, the sun was blazing, so of course I headed to the beach right before my flight. Here’s why I was glad to leave that day. Right as I was leaving, tropical storm Elsa turned into a hurricane and all these people were coming into town for the 4th of July so we were happy to get out of there!

Wonderful trip and I really want to go back. If you’re looking for some chill fun things to do in Miami, I hope this helps you out.
